About the Event
Are you the next Stephen King, James Patterson, Jilly Cooper, Sue Townsend or Bill Bryson?
The advent of ‘Print on Demand’ and e-books means it’s never been easier to publish your epic novel, best-selling (we hope) collection of poems, key textbook, travel report, autobiography or whatever. And when better to complete that masterpiece than right now while we’re locked down? Out On The Page Advisory Group Member, Helen talks us through some of the options for getting into print: the ‘Big Five’, ‘Independent’, ‘Hybrid’ publishers and Self-publishing including Amazon and outline the pros and cons of each; preparing your work for publication and the roles of editors and agents. She will then talk you through the detailed process of listing a book on Amazon in both e-book and printed formats.
Helen currently has four books on Amazon and a website about her writing www.helendaleauthor.info Helen would be grateful if those participating in the workshop would make a small donation to https://www.diversityrolemodels.org/ a charity that goes into schools to talk to students about respecting difference and reducing homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. Sadly, the charity has been affected by the lock-down like so many others.
Please RSVP to us here if you want to attend and we'll send you the link to register with Helen.
