About the Event

About the Out on the Page 'Megaphone' Video for The Writers' Conference 2021

We are looking for members to submit to us a short MP4 clip (landscape setting) of them reading their writing. It can be any genre and any length up to a strict maximum of 5 minutes. Poetry, Prose, Experimental, Fiction, Non-Fiction. It can be a work in progress. You do not have to be a published writer. We would also want you to submit a 25 word bio and any links to your writing if it exists in the public sphere.

Out on the Page will then shortlist clips to send to The Writers' Conference, who will edit the content into a 30 minute video that will run on Youtube during and after the conference.

This is a fun and fantastic opportunity for you and Out on the Page to showcase the wonderful diversity and talent of emerging LGBTQ+ writers. Because this is a generic conference your submissions should be generally family friendly. Don't worry too much about this, I would let you know if we hit any editorial boundaries.

Just film yourself on your webcam or mobile phone and send it along to us with your bio and writing links.

You do not need to register for this event. All you need to do is email your submission with email subject MEGAPHONE to contact@outonthepage.co.uk by midnight on Tuesday 16th March.
