Eamon Somers

Eamon’s first novel Dolly Considine’s Hotel will be published in July 2021.


His short stories have been published in Automatic Pilot, Tees Valley Writer, ABC Tales, and The Journal of Truth and Consequence - which awarded his Fear of Landing a Pushcart Prize nomination. Nataí Bocht was included in Quare Fellas (an anthology of new Irish gay writing).


His novel A Very Foolish Dream – was Highly Commended in the 2019 Novel Fair sponsored by the Irish Writers' Centre, Dublin. Foolish Dream was also chosen for inclusion in Michael Langan’s “underrepresented communities” programme.

supporting emerging LGBTQ+ writers
Out on the Page was set up in 2018 as an experimental project to bring together LGBTQ+ writers to write, support each other and to share information and experience.
Since then, we have held one-writing retreats, workshops, groups and cafe casual meetings across England.  We have also set up an online writer directory and forum for emerging LGBTQ+ writers.
We have received Arts Council England funding for 2020 to sustain and develop our much-needed work, including online events.
