Mia Violet

‘Mia Violet is a writer and bisexual trans woman who uses her platform to discuss queer issues and mental health. She’s also passionate about self-love and mindfulness, which she credits as vital for helping her reboot her life. Through her writing and public speaking she shares what she’s learnt in the hope it will help people overcome their own personal difficulties, and to work towards a less stressful and more fulfilling life. Her debut book ‘Yes, You Are Trans Enough’ has been praised as a funny, insightful, and vulnerable memoir on her life experiences so far, as well as being a useful primer on trans issues for cisgender and trans readers alike.’

supporting emerging LGBTQ+ writers
Out on the Page was set up in 2018 as an experimental project to bring together LGBTQ+ writers to write, support each other and to share information and experience.
Since then, we have held one-writing retreats, workshops, groups and cafe casual meetings across England.  We have also set up an online writer directory and forum for emerging LGBTQ+ writers.
We have received Arts Council England funding for 2020 to sustain and develop our much-needed work, including online events.
