Sam Jenks

Updated: 4 days ago

Sam, who identifies as a gay man, is based in the UK. He is interested in strangers in strange places; how they relate and respond to the rural and urban landscape around them. His shorter works have been published in Litro Magazine and Fruit Journal. In 2020, with the Japanese artist Koji Tsukada he wrote the text for 'Chronostasis', an artbook set in Bath that plays with memory and myth. He is currently working on a contemporary novella set in Japan and a story based in Bath, both flirting with psychogeography.

supporting emerging LGBTQ+ writers
Out on the Page was set up in 2018 as an experimental project to bring together LGBTQ+ writers to write, support each other and to share information and experience.
Since then, we have held one-writing retreats, workshops, groups and cafe casual meetings across England.  We have also set up an online writer directory and forum for emerging LGBTQ+ writers.
We have received Arts Council England funding for 2020 to sustain and develop our much-needed work, including online events.
