Join the writer of 'Fabulosa! The Story of Polari, Britain's Secret Gay Language' for an informal 'round-table' Q&A where we explore, amongst other things, his experience of emerging as a writer. Paul will also do a short reading from his work. Limited to 25 places.

Paul Baker is Professor of English Language at Lancaster University. Since 2002 he has published 20 books including Fantabulosa: A Dictionary of Polari and Gay Slang, and Hello Sailor: Seafaring life for gay men. His 2019 book Fabulosa: The Story of Polari, Britain’s Secret Gay Language was a Times Literary Supplement book of the year.
