Lachlan Smith started writing a few years ago to help him navigate his sexuality within the often hypermasculine world of sport, in his case cricket. He has played cricket for many years at local club level in England having taken up the game when younger in Adelaide, Australia. His writing explores his journey and experiences as a gay cricketer in England and more recently he has started charting the history of a cricket club he has newly formed in Birmingham.
