Matthew Keeley



My debut sci-fi novel, Turning the Hourglass, was published in 2019 and my new coming-of-age #ownvoices novel The Stone in My Pocket will be published by The Conrad Press early 2021. I also write short stories (usually with a speculative, magical element) and arts reviews for award-winning online magazine The Wee Review. In 2019 I won the National Trust Scotland’s Morton Writing Competition for my short story ‘In Ma Heid’ and in November 2020 my piece ‘Clearing the Fog’ was chosen for inclusion in the Scottish Book Trust’s Book Week Scotland anthology, Future.
